The creation of this optical illusion painting installation was ritualized to process grief and transmute pain from the loss of two friends. It consists of three paintings in conversation and uses our favorite colors as a palette: What’s Not There (Shig, red and black), Colors Your Eyes (El, yellow), and Transmutation (all of us together, where I am represented by blue).
