War Paint For Trees honors my late friend and mentor, steave savage. He was an Original Person who taught me how his people talk to trees. This has brought me great solace and personal growth over the years, so I will relay his teachings to you.

When addressing trees, you must speak to them with a special name that means something to you instead of your everyday name. Address trees as if you're addressing all of those species of tree, such as spruce pine trees. Talk to dead trees just as you would live ones. This leads to spiritual conversations with telephone poles. You don't always have to be serious because the universe is not always serious.
